SGR Chain is an education platform that offers interactive apps to explore the design of supply chain networks, considering costs and service as well as themes of resilience and sustainability. The apps feature cases inspired by real-world supply chains to explore emerging topics such as reshoring and shortages in supply chains. Conceptually, the apps are based on famous operations research models such as the facility location problem and its extensions and research papers by Simchi Levi et al. (2015), Allon and Van Mieghem (2010), Jordan and Graves (1995), among others.

The platform is maintained at the Worms University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The development of the platform was funded by the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany (OpenEdu-RLP).
